It’s almost midsummer, a playful time for joy and abundance.
As we have just come out of a gritty mercury retrograde and the big energy of eclipse season, it is now time to expand our horizons, shake off old energies and ready ourselves for new adventures. This super-charged, Super Full Moon in Sagittarius, is closer to the earth than normal. The Sagittarius Moon, ruled by Jupiter, this Moon is one of luck and expansion and above all adventure. Symbolised by a centaur with a bow and arrow - it’s time to focus your arrow: ask yourself where do you want to go?
Start this Full Moon Spell with some flowing movement, whack on your favourite tunes and dance like nobody’s watching- perhaps even under the light of the moon.
When you feel ready, take some to reflect. We’re six months into the year, think back to winter and the plans you made at the beginning of the year, assess how far you’ve come. Celebrate the journey you’ve been on, the wins and the challenges you’ve overcome, write yourself a well-done note, a virtual gold star if you will.
Next, imagine a horizon, as far as the eye can see, what is in your world? Take pen to paper and describe with as much detail what it is specifically that you would like in your life as you move forward from Summer Solstice next week into the second part of the year.
Once you have a clear and specific idea of what it is you most want, you can make a magical symbol - a sigil.
Write down your intention such as - “I’m happy and healthy and enjoy practicing yoga everyday”
Cross out any repeating letters, for example - I m h a p y n d e l t j o r c i g v
Some suggest removing vowels too, it’s completely your choice - so for this example you’d have: m h p y n d l t j r c g v
Take a small piece of paper write out all the letters that are left, overlap them, turn them into a visual symbol - this is your magic symbol that represents what is you most want. Be as creative and playful with it as you like. To complete the sigil draw a circle around it.
Charge the sigil by holding in your hand and imagine the energy you feel when you have what it is you most want. Place the sigil on window sill under the full moon and remove it and tear it up before dawn.
