The stars are aligning… it’s literally the luckiest day of the year, August the 8th is a powerful time to manifest all that our heart’s desire. This isn’t just a new age thing, it’s been celebrated for thousands of years.
The cosmic forces of the 8th day of the 8th month is known as Lion’s Gate Portal, expect high vibrational energies activated by the numerology of 8 representing infinity and eternity. This number is believed to bring balance, harmony and divine wisdom as you become in touch with your higher self.
This day has an astrological meaning as the Sun, in Leo aligns directly with the brightest star, Sirius, known as our spiritual sun. Ancient Egyptians not only believed the number 8 to be of cosmic order, they also celebrated the rising of Sirius on the 8th August as this was the time the Nile flooded bringing with it abundance. Being in tune with the stars, the ancients believed the energy of Sirius was a gateway to heaven and home of higher vibrational beings. On this day of peak alignment Sirius rises in our skies and lines up directly with the Pyramids in Giza, Egypt. The theory is that the Pyramids were built to align with this star and were thought to act as transmitters helping to amplify this cosmic energy.
This combination of the rising of Sirius and the number 8, opens a galactic portal allowing high vibration energies to be sent to Earth, which we can all tune in and connect with. Expect harmony and great change as the Lions Gate portal awakens us and activates our 3rd eye chakra, reminding us we’re not in the universe, but we are in fact, the, universe. The energy right now is a bit like a super charged full moon so it’s really a good moment to practice a little manifestation ritual to remind you of your limitless potential. I recommend finding a quiet space, lighting some incense or burning sage, perhaps creating a crystal grid, or at least setting out your crystals mindfully and sitting in stillness for an 8 minute meditation before writing down and setting your intentions.
