Aquarius Full Moon Ritual Guide

The antlers of the male deer are in full glory this month, lending their name to July's moon, the Buck Moon. Since ancient times, deer have been considered sacred carriers of peace, encouraging us to live gently and go about the day with love in our hearts. The harmonious vibe we are experiencing is further enhanced by the 22nd August Full moon in Aquarius, which brings a theme of new ideas and ideals along with it'. Having two Full Moons in Aquarius within a calendar year puts emphasis on the water sign ensuring a time for coming together as a community and expecting the unexpected.

To harness the power of these Aquarius Moonbeams here are some at some Full Moon Ritual Ideas below…

More is more

Quirky Aquarius energy is all about celebrating the weird and the wonderful, the eccentric and the sublime. Embrace this as an unpredictable time and view the moment as a time to experiment.

Sociable Aquarius loves to gather in circles, sharing innovative ideas and future thinking.

You could arrange a Full Moon gathering perhaps, encouraging your friends to go for it; more is more. Think sequins, headwear and tassels, create a space that allows people to express themselves fully either through their outfits or by simply giving them space to share their thoughts and feelings. Celebrate your friends’ individuality and the connection of the collective simultaneously.

If you’d rather go solo with your Full Moon celebrations, you can still dress up for the occasion experimenting with different styles, colours and looks. Take time to be creative in whichever way feels good for you, maybe writing a song or poem, dancing in the mirror, creating crystal grids or painting. Don’t hold back, the more avant garde the better.

This sign is all about the change-makers, as humanitarian Aquarius cares about social change and the greater good. What change do you want to see in the world? What part can you play in making this happen? Between these two Aquarius Full Moons take some time to set intentions on how you could become a part of a movement for change - it could be as simple as planning a beach clean with your community or writing to your MP about something you care deeply about. If nobody changes, nothing changes. Plant these seeds of intentions and see how far you can get before the next Aquarius Full Moon in a month’s time.

Crystal & chakra healing

Take some deep breaths outside in nature. Aquarius is an air sign, so it’s important to breathe deeply, getting new oxygen into the body and refreshing yourself. If you feel like it, try out a breathwork or outdoor yoga class. Aquarius is associated with the third eye chakra, the chakra of intuition. Spend some time connecting with yourself and your intuition. Start with a Chakra meditation focusing on the space between the eyebrows- your third eye chakra. You could place a crystal in this area whilst meditating lying down, (we recommend Amethyst) programming the crystal with intention, and repeating the mantra - I know, I am aware, I trust my intuition. When you are finished, charge up the crystal by leaving it under the Full Moon light.
